Fluid in Pouch of Douglas

Fluid in the pouch of douglas is most likely from a cyst. The fluid could have come from a cyst that was seen. The cyst might have been larger at one time, and, if it were to become smaller you would have fluid in the pouch of douglas. As long as no polyp is seen, then you can't remove it. Fluid from the cyst eventually reabsorbs. If the fluid that is coming out from around your gastronomy tube is really pus, then you should definitely call your GI specialist and make sure that you have no infection.
