Human Anatomy Muscles

The anatomy of the human muscles consist of approximately 640 skeletal muscles in the typical human body, almost every muscles contributes to one of the bilateral muscles. There is a pair of bilateral muscles, one on each side of the body. There is approximately 320 muscles on each side of the body. The smallest muscle in the body is the stapedius, this muscle is located in the middle of the ear. The stapedius is approximately 1.27 millimeters long. This muscle controls the tiniest bone in the body which is the stirrup bone, it contributes to the conduct of sound vibration through the middle ear.
