Infant Shudder Syndrome
Infant shudder syndrome can begin as early as four months or later in their childhood. The attacks are rapid tremor of the head, shoulder, and trunk. It will look like your child is shuddering from a "chill". These shudder attacks only last a few seconds but can occur many times throughout a day. Often times the attacks happen when eating. This may be caused to over stimulation for the child. No nuerological problems have been associated with shudder attacks. There is no treatment required and they will stop sometime in their teenage years.
