Leukocytes in Urinalysis
Leukocytes in urinalysis means there are white blood cells in urine. This may indicate an infection or cancer. A physician will test your urine with urine reagent test strips and may run further test on your urine if needed. You will clean and sterilize your genitals, and then you will urinate in a sterile cup. The lab will then test your urine with test strips. Most of the time if there is Leucocytes in your uranalysis it is probably a bacterial urinary tract infection. If your doctor finds any abnormalities he will find the best course of treatment for you.
