Lip Fungus
There is no fungus that can affect the outer portion of the lips because in order to survive the fungus requires a mucosal medium to infect and feed on. The closest fungal infection you could get is candidiasis. This is an affliction that occurs due to a yeast infection and usually occurs deep in the mouth and rarely on the lip. The only thing that would actually affect the outer lip itself would be a cold sore or Herpes infection.

He calls it Lip Fungus, but when I ran that through a search on Yahoo there were no factual articles, except excerpts from that cellphone commercial. Basically, I wanted to know if there was a such thing as Lip Fungus or if it was a Cold Sore he had.
