Infectious diseases refers any illness that has an intrinsic ability of its the causative agents to spread infection from one host to another. The causative agent can either be bacterial or viral in origin. The most common infectious disease worldwide we are familiar with are the following: Cholera; Dengue; Hepatitis B and C; HIV/AIDS; Malaria; Measles; Meningitis; Pneumonia; Tuberculosis; and Typhoid. But the worldwide top attributable cause of most death due to infectious diseases are Tuberculosis, Malaria, and AIDS.
