A long lasting menstrual cycle can last seven to fourteen days. It can include lots of cramping and blood clots. You should go to the doctor to see if you if you have fibroids or a medical issue. You should also buy bed pads and overnight maxipads to make sure not to soil the bed. Long lasting menstrual cycles is horrible for the sex life. The menstrual makes sex life two weeks out the month.

I used to have a very regular menstrual cycle. Heavy the first three days and then tapering off by the 7th ... I have had short cycles since the beginning averaging around 21-25 days apart. I had four kids and after stopping nursing, the periods came back typically lasting a week long and continuing the short cycle pattern.
