Low Absolute Monocytes
A monocyte count is the ratio of monocytes to the total amount of white blood cells. Low absolute monocytes are a good indication of your health. Although an abnormally high monocyte count is much worse and usually caused by serious health conditions, low absolute monocytes should not be ignored. Monocytes offer a defense against bacteria. Therefore, having a low monocyte count usually means you will be more vulnerable to infections.
