Muscle twitches all over the body can be caused by a number of things. Fibromyalgia is one cause. The medical term for muscle twitching is fasciculation. Benign twitching is a type of twitching that is not brought on by diseases or a disorder. Benign twitching is brought on by dehydration or fatigue of a specific muscle.
