Rash from Sweating

Most rashes that are associated with sweat are not actually caused by sweat at all, but by heat. Sweat is your body's natural way to dissipate heat. As your body perspires, the sweat sits on your skin and cools it helping to lower your temperature and keep you from overheating. In extreme circumstances however where your body cannot dissipate the heat quickly enough or in areas that just can't seem to get enough exposure, heat rashes can quickly develop. This is seen easily in babies usually around the neck and in between rolls of fat. It can also occur in adults and is commonly found in the groin area and is known as jock itch.
