Symptoms Incompetent Cervix
The most common symptom of an incompetent cervix is increased vaginal discharge and a feeling of heavy weight in the pelvic area. An incompetent cervix can be discovered by having a physical exam performmed by your gynocologist. They can measure the length of your cervix along with the size of the opening on it to determine if it is incompetent. Incompetent cervixes are the cause of 25% of pregnancy loss in the second trimester.
