Tens Unit
A tens unit is a device that sends electrical impulses through the skin to stimulate nerves and block pain signals. The electrical impulses also stimulate the body to produce more of its own natural pain relieving substances which are released during and after treatment.
Tens units are effective in reducing swelling, treating pain, muscle spasms, improve circulation, and strengthen muscles.
It is illegal to purchase a tens unit without a prescription, so a visit to your doctor will be necessary before you can get one.
