The first thing to remember if you do find a tick on you is to not panic. It is true you can get Lyme diseases from a tick, but if you get the tick removed your chance are lowered. First get the tweezers and grasp the ticks head firmly, then pull firmly and steadily to remove the tick. Put the tick into a jar of alcohol. By putting the tick in alcohol you will kill it, but it will be preserved. Swab the bite site with alcohol. Check with your doctor to see if they want to examine the tick or you.
