A protruding disk is also known as a herniated disk. There is more than one treatment for a protruding disk. Rest including less sitting is very important. This along with anti-inflammatory drugs, and muscle relaxers, will usually help. The last treatment would be surgery, but your doctor will most likely exhaust other options first.
