Uterus Anatomy
The uterus is a hollow, thick walled, pear shaped muscular organ in the female reproductive anatomy. The uterus anatomy consists of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that opens into the vagina, and the main body of the uterus, called the corpus. The uterine tubes or fallopian tubes extend from each side of the uterus, and are joined to the ovaries.
