White Pasty Vaginal Discharge
White pasty vaginal discharge could be a sign of a few different things. Clear or slightly cloudy discharge without a heavy odor is normal for most women. But pasty white vaginal discharge with a strong unpleasant odor could be a sign of a yeast infection, which is easily treatable It also could be a symptom of something more serious such as a sexually transmitted disease: trichomoniasis, chlamydia or gonorrhea. It has also been related to cervical cancer. Medical attention should be sought if the white pasty vaginal discharge continues.

Having some amount of vaginal discharge is normal, especially if you are of childbearing age. Glands in the cervix produce a clear mucus. These secretions may turn white or yellow when exposed to the air. These are normal variations.
