I swear this works(in fla.any way)take a 2x4 about 3 ft.long drive one end into the ground,take another 2x4 approx.the same size or smaller and rub it back and forth across the exposed end of the board in the ground,the vibrations cause the worms to come to the surface.

Hello, I want to catch earthworms from my backyard after a big rain and when it is dark. I go out in the back ... I haven't seen anyone suggest vibration for driving worms to the surface. As has been mentioned, worms are very sensitive to vibration, which is why you must tread slowly and softly when gathering them.
