Does Salt Kill Trees
Salt has been used for many years to kill trees. To kill trees you would use a salt peter and not a table salt. one way to do this is to drill with the half-inch bit and place holes all around the bottom of the tree just above where the root meets the soil. Pour salt in the holes and then cover with sand. This will suffocate the tree and stunt any more growth once the tree dies in a week or two. The problem is that when using the salt method to kill a tree, it will kill any grass or any vegetative life in the immediate area.

Also some "weed and feeds" for lawns will kill trees but takes a while for the chemical to seep down to the roots. Or drill a small hole in the trunk and inject copper sulfate solution. The leaves, though may be toxic to livestock ;

If you pour Epson Salt on the roots and stump, the salt will kill the roots. Rock Salt or "ice cream salt" will also kill the remains of a stump. Bill, throw a bunch of salt on the neighbor's lawn and trees just before it rains. The rain makes it impossible to see the salt and the salt will kill all plants on the guy's property.
