After you have done that, remove the curtain rod from the wall. If it is a standard type rod, you will have to lift up and then off since it has holes in the top and bottom of the rod where it hooks in securely. Lay the curtain rod down on your couch exactly as it will appear on your wall. Then lay the curtains on top of it exactly as you want them to appear. Next, pick up the rod and slide it into the curtain piece that is farthest to the right, carefully sliding and inching it onto the rod. Keep repeating until you have all on the rod. Now for the tricky part, hanging it on the wall. You may need a friend or family member to help you with this. You both will need step stools to get up to the curtain brackets on the wall. With both of you holding opposite ends carefully get on your step stool and turning the rod with the outer part angled up, hook it onto the rod and quickly snap it down into place. If the adjustable rod is too long or short you may need to adjust it so both of you can place the rod on the brackets without problems.
