Painting Stripes on Walls
Painting stripes on walls may not be as difficult as you think. Especially if it is a horizontal stripe. Decide how big you want your stripe to be and go around the room with a tape measure, marking every two to three feet. Follow your markings around the wall with painters tape. Do the same for the top part of the stripe and use a level if you are unsure that your taping is perfect. Paint within the tape. Apply a second coat if necessary. When the paint is completely dry, remove the tape and your stripe should be perfect.

I want to paint horizontal stripes on a wall, but I'm not sure of the best way to tackle it. Do I paint the main colour first, the mask over it and do the stripes, or do I do the stripes ... I did vertical stripes using masking tape. Only for the bottom two feet but it showed every imperfection on the walls. Never again.
