Propagate Wisteria Vine

Propagating wisteria vine can be done several ways. You an use the seeds from the plant which will take a longer for you to see blooms (about 10 years). You can use cuttings from the plant and/or grafts which should give you blooms with 2-3 years. You will need to wait until late summer and take some soft stem cuttings. You will need to dip those cuttings in a root hormone, which can be purchased at stores that sells plants. Plant the cuttings in sand, perlite, vermiculite or a mixture of all three. This will give the cuttings a good medium for growing. Keep moist and when you begin to see signs of new growth you will know you have roots.
