I have a toilet that will not completely flush. I have check the main sewer line and have found no obstructions. This toilet is probably 25 or so years old. I am thinking about buying a new one. My question is: Can a toilet actually have a life cycle?

If you have to double flush your toilet sometimes, it wastes a lot of water. A toilet is the largest water consumer in most homes. If you ever have to double flush, there is a good chance that your toilet also does not flush completely when there are only liquid wastes in it.
