Wall Texture Styles
There are a variety of different wall texture styles available today.
Considering the sheer number of different motif's or patterns available you should be able to find one that complements your living space perfectly.
One of the most common and economical styles is known as the "Spray Sand" technique. Basically, you start with the clean dry surface of the drywall, apply one coat of paint, spry sand the material onto the drywall and let it dry. Then apply one additional coat of paint and viola! You have texture.

Remember, if this is your first time doing this type of work in your home, patience is a key to success. It takes time, the right equipment and even a little money to get it right.
If you decide to hire a professional make sure they are licensed and bonded to avoid any unforeseen issues.

They sell aerosol cans of wall texture you can use to match textures that are sprayed on. I've read where people say they work OK for small areas. They come with different nozzles to create different patterns. It's a matter of practicing with different nozzles and spray techniques until you get a pattern that comes close.
