Phonetic Alphabet
Multiple phonetic alphabets exist, but the one used most frequently is the military phonetic alphabet. Each letter of the alphabet is represented by a word starting with that letter to ensure the letter is clearly understood. In a military voice transmission, the speaker would say "2 B as in Bravo," instead of just "2 B." Here's the militlary phonetic alphabet: a-alpha b-bravo c-charlie d-delta e-echo f-foxtrot g-golf h-hotel i-India j-Juliet k-kilo l-lima m-Mike n-Noveber o-Oscar p-papa q-Quebec r-romeo s-Sierra t-tango u-uniform v-Victor w-whiskey x-xray y-yankee z-Zulu.
