Servile

Servile is a word derived the the root word serv. This is close to serve and from history means a form of service required of a person. Also known as a slave type of definition, the meaning comes from history when people were once servants to others. There was once a servile war by the gladiators in the BC era. The word is not commonly used in today's vocabulary.
