Unless you want puppies, I would suggest this procedure before he starts reproducing! Of course, you could let him "sow a few wild oats", lol. Check with your vet on what he or she might recommend. I waited until my dog was a year old. As far as price goes, it will depend on the weight of your pet. A lot of people say having your dog neutered will "calm" him down. That can vary upon the breed of dog. Many vets agree that the best age to neuter your dog is around 6-8 weeks, while others say it's best to wait until 6 months.
