Chicken Snake

The chicken snake is found in various regions in North America. Although chicken snakes are commonly small, some species can grow up to seven feet long. While chicken snakes are not poisonous, they have a strong, painful bite and are quick to attack when threatened. Chicken snakes kill their prey by constricting it before consumption. Many consider the chicken snake a useful addition to the farm due to the fact that their primary diet is rodents.
