Distance between Two Places

To find the distance between two places you can use a measuring tape if it is a short distance, like from one wall to another. If it is a much further distance however, like from Toledo, OH to Chicago, IL, you will need something more than a measuring tape. Fortunately, there are commonly available mapping tools online that can make your job much easier. For example at Google maps you can click on the '~Get Directions' link and it will have an A and B field for you to fill in. Simply enter in your point A (in this case Toledo, OH) and point B (Chicago, IL) and click the button '~Get Directions.' It will suggest a travel time, distance and several different routes you can take to get there to help you see which way is faster. You can also use the drop down box at the top of the screen to see just for fun how long it would take to walk there or take the public transit. In our example we learned that to drive from Toledo to Chicago is only 4 hours, but to walk there is 3 days and 3 hours traveling time. http://maps.google.com/maps
