They eat them but they don't bother to peel them first. I have seen it at ... Some monkeys yes of course. Those monkeys that live where the banana plant grows. Apparently monkeys in zoos do as well. And pet monkeys. Stereotyping is a human characteristic. Assuming that all monkeys eat bananas is rational and logical.
