Earwigs Actually Crawl in Ears
I've always been told that it's a myth that earwigs will crawl into someone's ear during the night. And all of the websites that you can check, all tell you that it's a myth as well...I can't say that there is scietific evidence to prove that they can't do this, but I know I would rather spend my time somewhere else. I suppose it would be possible for one to crawl into an unwanted place, but I find it unlikely. Check around on google and see if you come up with a legitimate website that gives you scientific proof on this theory.

They're not called "earwigs" because they usually crawl into ears; according to wikipedia, they got their name from an old wives' tale that earwigs burrow into people's brains through the ear and lay their ... I'm not exactly sure about an earwig,but Ido know someone who actually had a cockroach crawl(and stay)in their ear...

According to the wikipedia entry however you are more likely to find an earwig under your bathroom sink or in a pile of magazines in a musty basement than to have one crawl into your ear. ... I hope we can all take some comfort in that because earwigs look pretty nasty...
