Feeling Faces Chart

A feeling faces chart is a behaviour intervention tool that is used in therap as well as in schools. It is a way of helping the individual to describe how he or she is feeling as some people and in particular children, may not able to verbally express their feelings and emotions. The feeling faces chart has pictures that show different types of facial expressions and below the suitable emotion is labeled. While this tool is very useful in therapy, there are some drawbacks. For example, if some children see many choices of faces, they may get excited or confused and just select faces that really don't express how they are feeling. Also, some of the words used to describe the feeling may be advanced and the child may not understand them.
