Florida Snakes
There are around 45 different species of snakes that have been found in Florida, and this number does not include their subspecies. Although the majority of the snakes are non poisonous, there are at least six of them that are, and therefore should be completely avoided. A great website to visit to research these Florida snakes is http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/herpetology/FL-GUIDE/onlineguide.htm. On this website you able to access the different species of snakes. It also contains pictures with identifying features so that you can tell the difference between the snakes. It also explains the habitat of the snakes, as well as how to get along with the snakes. This website is a great resource for those who are interested in learning about the different types of snakes living in the Florida area.

There are till this day 45 different types of snakes in Florida. Out of these forty five species only six species are poisonous and the rest 39 species are not poisonous and hence can cause no harm to human beings.
