Grammar Punctuation
Some grammar punctuation symbols are: comma, semicolon, colon, apostrophe, dash, and ellipses. A comma is used to link two independent clauses. Semicolon is used between two independent clauses that are closely related in meaning and are not linked by a conjunction. Colons are used at the end of an independent clause to introduce a list or series. The apostrophe can be used to form the possessive of a singular noun, to form the possessive of a plural noun ending in s or to form the possessive of an irregular plural noun not ending in s to name a few. The ellipses are to indicate an omission in a quotation.
