Knots are used for a numerous different actives such as: boating, climbing, fishing, scouting, decorative, and rope care. Knowing what kind of knot you are trying to tie and for what activity will help steer you in the right direction. Knots over time will weaken your rope so you need to make sure that you check your rope fully before use so that you will not be relying on something that is unsafe and will not be able to support you.
