I bet you've never heard of consecotaleophobia (the fear of chopsticks). I'd venture to say we all have gelotophobia even though we've never heard the word. It means fear of being laughed at. A lot of people also have glossophobia (fear of public speaking). Lachanophobia might be an explanation why your 6 year old won't eat his dinner. It is the fear of vegetables. Your 11 year old may have a case of philemaphobia (fear of kissing), although that will soon pass when the teen years set in. If you hated Spellling class in school, this might be why. You might have sesquipedalophobia (fear of long words). Around the holidays you might get a case of syngenesophobia (fear of relatives.) Perhaps Franklin D.
