The sahara desert, or "The Greatest Desert", is over 9,000,000 square kilometres. It is practically the size of the United States. It is located on the continent of Africa, in the northern region. A number of movies, books, and documentaries have been written and produced about the "Sahara". It is a legendary place, spanning almost 3 million years of history.
