There are many types of research, and too many to list here. In fact, just about everything can be a type of research. Medical and scientific research is probably the most prevolent of all research. Billions of dollars are spent annually, and on various different research projects. Most major corporations invest heavily in research and development to advance the capability and effectiveness of their products and services.
