Whale Anatomy
Whale anatomy can be a little different from whale to whale. There are two different types of whales. Here is a couple websites that give a good overall general description of a whale's anatomy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whale or http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/whales/anatomy/. These are huge amazing animals and their anatomy is amazing on how their bodies work to survive. If you ever have a chance to see one in the wild in the ocean it will be something so amazing you will never forget it.

The sperm whale is a toothed whale having 18-28 pairs of conical teeth on the lower jaw (Bonner, 1989). Cousteau (1972) found 60 teeth in all. A tooth may weigh six or seven pounds and be eight inches long (Costeau, 1972). These are some of the teeth that eskimos and sailors use to create scrimshaw.
