What Causes a Cyclone

Cyclones, hurricanes, and tornados are all caused by warm, tropical, moisure-bearing clouds that develop in open oceans or seas. As the clouds clump together, the pressure in the middle of them begins to drop causing them to spin clockwise. Cyclones are very distructive and are similar to a tornado.

Propagation is defined as TC The presence of this wind shear on each side of the storm track causes a deep layer wind profile with the weakest flow away from the storm center.
