Yellow Finch

Male Finches are a very bright yellow with a clack cap on forehead this you will see in spring and summer. Their wings are also black as well as the tail. Wings will also have white streaks and shoulder patch. The males will turn a very dull color in the winter like the females year around. Finches like thistle and will visit the feeder often as well as sunflower feeder. Finches will nest in many different places, shrubs, small trees as long as they are in full sun.
