What are 4 types of conflicts in every story? Inciting incident is the point in the story where the conflict is first introduced. Rising action is series of events that increase the tension leading up to the climax. Climax the events in the story that come to the highest point of tension and the reader finds out the result of the conflict. Conclusion (or denouement) insist of loose ends of the story that are tied up, or where more details are given.
