Ancient Greek Weapons

Ancient Greek weapons were an important attribute to the Greek civilization. Foot soldiers were considered weapons of the ancient Greek army and where called "hoplites" which mean armor. These soldiers used weapons including: the shield, the spear, the ballista, the dagger, the sword, and the catapult. The ancient Greeks brought many new technologies to war and were often ahead of other countries in weapon development.
