Animal Names That Start with N

There aren't too many animal names that start with "n." Here's what we've found: Northern cardinal, nine-banded armadillo, northern bottlenose whale, nene goose, and northern gannett. With the direction in their names, they wouldn't even be "n" animals. Then there's the North American Bison, the nankeen crane and last but not least, the Numbat. Beyond these unlikely creatures, there's the "gnu," which sounds like it starts with "n," but does not, so what else is gnu.
