Classes of Felonies

**Adult Content** There are various classes of felonies. First of all, any felony is a serious crime and means a high risk of loss of freedoms and property. Homicide is the worst crime in the felony world. It can result in capital punishment (death). Homicide can range from murder to manslaughter, which will depend greatly on the circumstances surrounding the homicide and the intent. Rape is also a felony and includes child molestation, child rape and sexual assault. In some cases, rape can carry a capital punishment, but it depends on the circumstances. Kidnapping is a felony that can include coercion and false imprisonment. Aggravated assault is a felony and is when someone intentionally physically harms a person. Robbery is a felony, using force to steal from someone. Burglary is felony material and is when someone enters property without consent and intends to steal or harm someone. If no proven intent to commit crime is proved when a person trespasses, then it may be downgraded to criminal trespassing which is only a misdemeanor. Arson is also a felony and would be when a person deliberately attempts to burn something down (like a building) risking life and/or property loss. http://www.ehow.com/how_4694414_understand-felony-crime-classes.html
