Desiderata Poem

Desiderata is a Latin word that means "desired things." The poem was finally determined to be authored by Max Ehrmann in 1927, after decades long battle of identifying its origin. It has become a famous poem because of the form of writing and the nature of its composition. With the poem conversationally starting with gentle and gracious words, "Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence."
