Discerning

Discerning is to show insight and understanding of an issue or situation. In religion, discernment is a gift of the spirit. Meaning it's a valuable and sacred attribute that can be strengthened as one becomes more comfortable in picking up on and trusting intuitions regarding people and situations. More can be read in the Bible about the religious use of discernment in 1 Corinthians 12:10.
