Four Kinds of Discourse
A french phsyciatrist, Jacques-Marie Émile Lacan developed the four kinds of discourse. These four kinds of discourse include: Master, Hysteric, Analyst and University. Discourse is a term that relates to language. Its origins began in 1969 and refers to a social bond in language. Each discourse is represented by an algorithm and four algebraic symbols. Each discourse is defined by the position of the symbols in each algorithim.
