Inventions of the Industrial Revolution

The Industrial Revolution was a time period between the last 18th century and the early 19th century. During this time major improvements were taking place in the fields of transportation, agriculture, mining and manufacturing. The most influential invention of this time period is the steam engine. The first reliable steam engine was build in 1775 by Scotsman James Watt. During this time, Thomas Edison was busy creating the phonograph and the incandescent light bulb. The Wright Brother's, Orville and Wilbur, were inventing the first airplanes. And Henry Ford was making his first Model T and creating the assembly line. It truly the age of discovery and advancement.
