Martin Luther King Jr

Martin Luther King Jr. was born in 1929. He was a revolutionary that changed the way that race was viewed, altogether. After becoming a pastor of a church in Alabama, he went on to change the laws of segregation by beginning a bus boycott, in 1955 that lasted for over a year. Because of this, the laws of segregation were declared unconstitutional and black and white people began riding the bus as equals, starting in 1956. Though he was punished by the community for these acts, he became one of the top leaders of the Negroes. He was an amazing public speaker, known for his "I have a dream" speech that went on to become the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, at the age of 35, and then donated his winnings to the civil rights movement.
