Merchandise on consignment agreement is when you are selling something that you do not want. You then let someone sell it for you for a small fee. They will get paid once you have been paid. They do not get any money until the item is sold and also you do not get any money until the item is sold. This way no one really has any money tied up into the item to sell it until it actually sells and then you will split the money
